Get an up-close view of artists at work! Artists exhibiting in Cherry Blossoms: A Textile Translation 2017 will demonstrate a variety of textile art forms and techniques.

Weaving
Doreen MacLauchlan will demonstrate weaving on a basic rigid heddle loom using handspun yarns from locally raised sheep & alpacas. Doreen learned to knit in Brownies at age 8 & has never stopped playing with fibre. She is a weaver, spinner, knitter & sometimes dyer, active in the Sunshine Coast Spinners & Weavers Guild.
