Call for Artists to Exhibit at the Kay Meek Arts Centre

The WVCAC is excited to announce a pilot project in partnership with the Kay Meek Arts Centre to program exhibitions in the popular theatre’s lobby at 1700 Mathers Ave, West Vancouver! 

Submission is open to emerging & established artists working in painting, photography & mixed media. Selected artists will be scheduled for a 3 to 5 week solo or duo exhibition in 2019 starting in April. The Exhibition Jury will determine whether an artist is assigned a solo or group exhibition. All selected artists will be required to become WVCAC Members.

What We're Looking For

  • Dynamic 2D original artwork with subject matter appropriate for a public facility associated with the School District of West Vancouver
  • 13 to 30 larger works. Max width 45" Max height 48"
  • Gallery ready - framed or finished edges, have appropriate hanging wire/fixtures
  • Must not be exhibiting in a juried exhibition at the Silk Purse Arts Centre in 2019

How To Submit
1. Select the Register button to the left & pay the $20 Submission Fee
2. E-mail the following to  westvanartscouncil@shaw.ca with the subject line 2019 Kay Meek Submission

  • 6 hi-res images of artwork, including dimensions
  • Brief written concept/theme of work
  • Bio/CV

Submissions Open: January 21
Submissions Close: February 22 4pm
Results: Artists will be notified mid March

*The Kay Meek Arts Centre does not carry insurance that will cover artwork on display. You may wish to consult your insurance agent for options.
