  • Sunday, March 15, 2020
  • Silk Purse Arts Centre

SPECTRUM is an exciting, annual exhibition celebrating the talented & diverse artists in our community! Following an open invitation, 17 established & emerging artists will showcase work in a broad spectrum of styles & media.

Artists on display Sahar Banisoltan, Annie Bohni, Philippa Burke, Ruth Cassleman, Maggie Caunt, Doria Fochi, Helena Juhasz, Veena Khosla, Domenica Mastromatteo, Tussy Morelli, Marja-Liisa Oksanen, Evan Robichaud, Erik Vaartnou, Karen Vanon, Patricia Vaughan, Joanne Waters, Karen Yaremkewich, Mong Yen

For 2020 artists are responding to our call to have a Cultural Conversation on Climate Change. These works will explore the relevant themes of sustainability, industrialization, preservation & the effects of the climate crisis, while examining what the arts can do to impact & improve the future of our home.

By creating an inclusive & level playing field, SPECTRUM shines a light on these gifted artists at varying stages in their careers; offering them the opportunity to exhibit (some for the first time!) & bringing them together to make new connections & strengthen the arts community.

Opening Reception Tuesday February 24, 6-8pm. Everyone welcome!
