Acclaimed pianists Irina Konovalov & Boris Konovalov share the stage to perform works by some of the greatest Russian composers!

Irina Konovalov is a renowned, award-winning pianist celebrated for her technique, clarity & emotive style. Irina will dazzle us with performances of preludes & waltz by Scriabin.

Boris Konovalov, one of the most prominent pianists of his generation, has won numerous prizes for his technique & performance, having toured across North America, Europe & beyond. Boris will perform selections from Tchaikovsky's The Seasons as well as pieces by Rachmaninoff.

This dynamic duo will perform at 10:30 am & 1:30 pm.

North Shore musicians Emma Ringrose, oboe, & Mark Anderson, piano, join us for a dazzling performance of remarkable classical music.  

Emma Ringrose, principal oboist for the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, has performed with many orchestras including Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Film Orchestra & Turning Point Ensemble. Originally from the UK, Emma is also in demand as a chamber musician.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, pianist Mark Anderson’s recordings & performances have met with widespread critical acclaim. Mark has appeared frequently as recitalist, soloist & chamber musician in Japan, throughout much of Europe & Great Britain, Ireland & North America.

This incredible duo will perform at 10:30 am & 1:30 pm.

Kitchen Sink Pocket Orchestra is a fresh & exciting mixed string & wind ensemble designed to introduce orchestral instruments in engaging & non-traditional settings, while having a lot of fun!

Kitchen Sink Pocket Orchestra features musicians Susan Aylard, violin; oboist Lauris Davis; Karmen Doucette, bassoon; & Meaghan Williams on double bass.

While educated & firmly rooted in the classical tradition, everyone in the group has their own personal musical influences & as a result, the KSPO’s repertoire reflects each of their personalities in different ways. Their diverse repertoire appeals to audiences of all ages & includes arrangements of much-loved orchestral works by Bach, Ravel & Dvorak, mashups of traditional folk & fiddle favourites alongside recognizable tunes from more contemporary artists including Beyonce, Simon & Garfunkel, & Metallica. There truly is something for everyone on this program – including everything & the Kitchen Sink!
