    'Rice Lake Spring 2022'

    Geoffrey Feng

    'Waterline'

    Eric Goldstein

Artists Geoffrey Feng & Eric Goldstein reinterpret how we view everyday elements of nature, asking viewers to rethink their relationship with the world around us.

Oil painter Geoffrey Feng captures the emotional impact of natural scenes through distilling elements of light, colour & shape into layers of expressive gestural marks that suggest elements of a landscape or shoreline.

Mixed media artist Eric Goldstein refines local landscapes into basic elements of line, colour & texture using coloured fibres, glass & metal; exploring our perception & interaction with the natural world.

    'Full Moon Boat Shed'

    Cosmo Campbell

    'BC Place'

    Jessica Fairweather

How we interact with the places around us & what that may say about the human condition is explored by artists Cosmo Campbell & Jessica Fairweather.

Cosmo Campbell uses photography as a tool to explore the vulnerability of existence. In this series of nocturnal photographs shot under a full-moon he strives to create images that explore the comfort of solitude, scenes that expose the beauty that can be found in the loneliest of places. In the quiet of the night, how do we see our place in the world & the impact we can have?

Jessica Fairweather creates colourful glass mosaics that reflect the world around her & the beauty found in our own backyard. This series of intricate & graphic images of recognizable landmarks, scenes & moments in time tell stories of the delicate balance we navigate between civilization & nature. How do we reconcile our encroachment on this beautiful landscape we so enjoy?
