Artists Diane Akey, Aiden Fisher-Lang & Peter Winnett examine notions of happiness & ideals through explorations in pattern, media, rhythm & bold colours.

Akey's explorations in mark making & colour studies use a variety of media including acrylics, charcoal, paper & 'skins' created from stripping media from other paintings. These lively, emotive abstracts & portraits express the wonder & joy of creating while celebrating the artist's muses.

Fisher-Lang's work captures his love of colour while exposing the ideals that matter most to him through paintings in acrylic & marker. Using geometric patterns & stylized iconography, Fisher-Lang represents versions his favourite locations & concepts like 'home' & 'community'.

Winnett creates bold works incorporating labels from commercial goods into gestural figurative & semi-abstract oil paintings representing the archetypal 'Seven Deadly Sins'. Turning his eye towards our pursuits of happiness & material wealth, Winnett's work asks us to question our ideals, goals & methods of achieving them.

Opening Reception Saturday February 8, 2-4pm. Everyone welcome!
