Levels of Membership

Become a member of the West Vancouver Community Arts Council and participate in its activities at The Silk Purse Art Centre!

All memberships are valid for one year after purchase. Choose from among the following seven categories:

• $20 Individual Membership 
• • Opportunity to influence and nurture cultural development in our community
  • Opportunity to nominate and be nominated for Arts Council directorships, and vote at the Arts Council’s annual general meeting
  • Receive regular and informative newsletters
  • Includes open invitation to all Arts Council exhibitions, openings, and special events
  • Benefit from discounted concert tickets, workshop registration , and subscription passes 
  • Benefit from our community partner discounts
  • Opportunity to display and sell your works in the Art Box gift shop
  • Opportunity to rent the Silk Purse Art Centre for staging arts and cultural functions, arts planning activities, or teaching sessions
• $15 Senior Membership
• • For those 65 & over
  • Benefits include all of those enjoyed by Individual members

• $35 Artist Membership
• • Benefits include all of those enjoyed by Individual members
  • Additionally, our website will display an online directory of Artist members, complete with photo, bio, and contact information; plus albums of high-res images which can be uploaded and managed anytime, directly by the member
  • Additionally, each Artist member will be highlighted (in rotation) in our weekly e-news

• $55 Alliance Membership
• • Open to any teacher, and any club, residential, non-profit, society, or other group
  • Includes one Individual Membership (complete with voting rights) for the group’s designated representative
  • Includes 2 additional Individual Memberships, e.g. for students, staff, employees, associates or residents
  • Includes listing in the Arts Council’s directory of Alliance Members
  • Opportunity to rent the Silk Purse Art Centre for staging arts and cultural functions, arts planning activities, or teaching sessions; and pay our lowest rental rate 
  • Additionally, each Alliance member will be highlighted (annually) in our weekly e-news
• $120 Business Membership
• • Open to any corporate or non-corporate business
  • Opportunity to directly support the Arts in your community
  • Includes one Individual Membership (complete with voting rights) for the business' designated representative
  • Includes listing in the Arts Council's directory of Business Members
  • Opportunity to rent the Silk Purse Arts Centre for staging arts and culture functions, arts planning activities, or teaching sessions; and pay our lowest rate
  • Additionally, each Business member will be highlighted (annually) in our weekly e-news

• $100 Bronze Friend of the Arts Council Membership
• • 1-year Individual Membership for yourself
    
  • Includes all of the Individual Membership benefits listed above
  • Includes recognition in the Arts Council’s printed materials, and annual Arts Council donor acknowledgement
    
  • Charitable tax receipt issued for $85*

• $250 Silver Friend of the Arts Council Membership
• • 1-year Individual Memberships for you and one other person
  • Includes all of the Individual Membership benefits listed above
  • Includes recognition in the Arts Council’s printed materials, and annual Arts Council donor acknowledgement
    
  • Charitable tax receipt issued for $220*

• $500 Gold Friend of the Arts Council Membership
• • 1-year Individual Memberships for you and one other person
